I once had a page on DeviantArt, mostly filled with photography and my attempts at drawing anime-type characters. I want to start fresh though.

I'm here because of one particular thing, a game that has peaked my interest so much that it has inspired me to start drawing again. I'm talking about Chronicles of Elyria and if you like low-fantasy, medieval MMOs that has a fresh look on MMORPG-type games you have to CHECK IT OUT! Do it! I'll wait.

Alright so, I almost don't know where to begin with this game. First off, before you get too excited, this game is in early development with no playable alpha version yet- but it can be expected sometime in 2016. The groundwork has been laid, they are programming it as we SPEAK! Anyways, the game features character aging and permadeath and a completely player run gameworld. Your character ages in real time and once you hit your max age (anywhere between 80-120 depending on how you have lived your life) you DIE, like D...I...E that character is dead and gone. However you keep the soul and are free to choose another child or NPC to inhabit. It sounds scary but it's a really cool concept, trust me.

The thing that I'm so hyped about is that there is NO LEVELING or questing whatsoever, they are aiming for an immersive and realistic game (which is why it's low fantasy). You choose a child or NPC to play, you start at age 12/15 or whatever age the NPC is at and then you just play...you do whatever the hell you want to do. If you want to design houses, you can be an architect and send your character to the library to start studying, you can farm, you can adventure, you can thieve from players, you can run an inn/blacksmith/stall/, travel as a merchant, or just live a simpler life and farm. It's a really exciting game and I encourage you, if you like low fantasy, check it out, get involved!
